Two separate Pioneer Lunches with the Ambassador and senior Embassy officials alongside NetworkIrlande were held in October to provide a forum for Pioneer members to share their perspectives on the current economic and trading climate.
On two consecutive Thursdays in October, the 9th and 16th, two separate groups of NetworkIrlande Pioneer members sat down for lunch with H.E. Ambassador Niall Burgess, deputy Head of Mission Dearbhla Doyle and Head of Trade and Economic Relations Louisa Heneghan / Paul Deane alongside NetworkIrlande President Richard Dujardin and Vice-President Orla Noonan. The lunch was a forum for Pioneer members to share their perspectives on the current economic and trading climate, with a specific focus on challenges and opportunities for the France-Ireland economic relationship.
This year the group was split in two, from one lunch in the past, to allow for greater exchanges and from feedback on the day, and since, this seems to have worked well on this occasion. The Ambassador shared some key economic and policy updates from Ireland, conversation oscillated back and forth as regards current geo-political changes and economical impact, and many insightful nuggets came through.
Such a relatively informal, yet informative, exchange also helps the NetworkIrlande team to highlight the ‘hot topics’ and build relevant exchange opportunities and events in the coming seasons.
It goes without saying that dining in such a special room at the Irish Embassy in France and with such exceptional food is also such a pleasure!
Thank you once again to the Embassy team for a wonderful event.
