The 2021 edition of the Ireland France Business Awards cermony took place in Dublin on November 25th.
David McWilliams addressed the theme of 'The world post-crisis : an era of opportunity? ' and his positivity and insights could only help convince us of the opportunities that may await us once we resurface from the current crisis.
The annual awards, organised by NetworkIrlande in collaboration with the France Ireland Chamber of Commerce, recognising excellence within the Franco-Irish business community, took place, virtually this year, on November 26th.

The third edition of our ever popular speed networking event Boost Your Network took place on Wednesday, January 29th at the offices of Grant Thornton in Neuilly.

NetworkIrlande in conjunction with Arbitration Ireland and the International Chamber of Commerce Ireland organised a presentation on ‘Brexit – Challenges and Opportunities for Ireland’ at the Embassy of Ireland, Paris on Thursday September 26th.
Members of NetworkIrlande braved the icy conditions to attend the event “Social Entrepreneurship – Business on a Human Scale” at the Embassy of Ireland on Thursday 8th February, and were rewarded with a fascinating and inspiring discussion on the role of the social entrepreneur in business today.
On 4 December, Ambassador O’Brien, Honorary President of NetworkIrlande, hosted the annual NetworkIrlande Christmas reception. This last NetworkIrlande event of the year was attended by more than 75 members, and provided a convivial opportunity for networking in the Embassy salons. Among the companies represented were Transdev, Axway, BNP Paribas, Ecocem, Bank of Ireland, Veolia and EY.
In her opening remarks the Ambassador noted the importance of the relationship between the Embassy and NetworkIrlande to the broader Franco-Irish economic relationship, and thanked the network and its team for the work they do.
The 2017 Ireland France Business Awards, held on November 23 in the beautiful salons of the Westin-Paris Vendome to celebrate the excellence of Franco-Irish business relations, were a great success.
Before some 170 executives and business leaders from France and Ireland, the winners of the best Irish company in France, Amarenco, the best French company in Ireland, Axway and the special Award for Positive Impact on Climate Change, Transdev Ireland, received their Awards from Ms Helen McEntee T.D., Minister of State for European Affairs, in presence of the Ambassadors of France and Ireland, H.E. Stéphane Crouzat and H.E. Patricia O'Brien, respectively Honorary President of the FICC and NetworkIrlande, the President of NetworkIrlande Richard Dujardin, CEO of Transdev France and the President of the FICC Joanne Grant, Managing Director of JCDecaux Ireland.
On 17 October, at the initiative of NetworkIrlande and under the patronage of the new ambassador of Ireland to France and Honorary President of NetworkIrlande, Patricia O’Brien, three Irish experts presented their analysis of the possible consequences of Brexit for the Irish economy.
More than for any other European country, Brexit poses significant challenges to trade, industry, agriculture and the national economy in general in Ireland.
Presentations by Rory Montgomery, Second Secretary General, European Union Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade, Anne Lanigan, Head of the Brexit Unit at Enterprise Ireland and Shane Hamill, Brexit Trade Specialist, Bord Bia, highlighted the challenges and possibile opportunies of Britain’s decision for Ireland.
Launched by NetworkIrlande on the initiative of Hubert Levesque, Member of the Board, Pioneer Member and Managing Director of Morgan McKinley France, this first experience of speed business networking, organized in partnership with the Franco-British Chamber of Commerce and the Australian Chamber ABIE, was a great success.
More than 70 meetings took place in the space of 90 minutes between members, using software developed for B2B meetings by Eventtia, permitting them to request meetings with the members they wished to meet via a dedicated website.
On the occasion of the NetworkIrlande AGM, held at the Embassy of Ireland on the 8th of June, Richard Dujardin, President of NetworkIrlande, paid tribute to H.E. Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason for her strong support of the business network as Honorary President of the association.

INSPIREFEST SALON, 9TH MARCH 2017
Members of NetworkIrlande had the opportunity to become part of the Inspirefest community for an evening on Thursday 9th March, when Ann O’Dea (CEO and Co-founder of Silicon Republic) presented an international Inspirefest Salon at the Embassy of Ireland in Paris.
Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason extended a warm welcome to the moderator, James Creedon (media editor France 24), and speakers Ann O’Dea, Anne Ravanova (CEO & Founder of Global Invest Her and filmmaker and multi-media producer Elena Rossini.

On January 17th, the place to be was Paris Terroirs, 68 rue Jean Pierre Timbaud, to discover the subtlety of organic wines presented with passion and expertise by the founder of this cellar, Dominique Tissier.
