On 4 December, Ambassador O’Brien, Honorary President of NetworkIrlande, hosted the annual NetworkIrlande Christmas reception. This last NetworkIrlande event of the year was attended by more than 75 members, and provided a convivial opportunity for networking in the Embassy salons. Among the companies represented were Transdev, Axway, BNP Paribas, Ecocem, Bank of Ireland, Veolia and EY.
In her opening remarks the Ambassador noted the importance of the relationship between the Embassy and NetworkIrlande to the broader Franco-Irish economic relationship, and thanked the network and its team for the work they do.
The 2017 Ireland France Business Awards, held on November 23 in the beautiful salons of the Westin-Paris Vendome to celebrate the excellence of Franco-Irish business relations, were a great success.
Before some 170 executives and business leaders from France and Ireland, the winners of the best Irish company in France, Amarenco, the best French company in Ireland, Axway and the special Award for Positive Impact on Climate Change, Transdev Ireland, received their Awards from Ms Helen McEntee T.D., Minister of State for European Affairs, in presence of the Ambassadors of France and Ireland, H.E. Stéphane Crouzat and H.E. Patricia O'Brien, respectively Honorary President of the FICC and NetworkIrlande, the President of NetworkIrlande Richard Dujardin, CEO of Transdev France and the President of the FICC Joanne Grant, Managing Director of JCDecaux Ireland.
On 17 October, at the initiative of NetworkIrlande and under the patronage of the new ambassador of Ireland to France and Honorary President of NetworkIrlande, Patricia O’Brien, three Irish experts presented their analysis of the possible consequences of Brexit for the Irish economy.

Launched by NetworkIrlande on the initiative of Hubert Levesque, Member of the Board, Pioneer Member and Managing Director of Morgan McKinley France, this first experience of speed business networking, organized in partnership with the Franco-British Chamber of Commerce and the Australian Chamber ABIE, was a great success.
More than 70 meetings took place in the space of 90 minutes between members, using software developed for B2B meetings by Eventtia, permitting them to request meetings with the members they wished to meet via a dedicated website.

INSPIREFEST SALON, 9TH MARCH 2017
Members of NetworkIrlande had the opportunity to become part of the Inspirefest community for an evening on Thursday 9th March, when Ann O’Dea (CEO and Co-founder of Silicon Republic) presented an international Inspirefest Salon at the Embassy of Ireland in Paris.
Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason extended a warm welcome to the moderator, James Creedon (media editor France 24), and speakers Ann O’Dea, Anne Ravanova (CEO & Founder of Global Invest Her and filmmaker and multi-media producer Elena Rossini.
First event of 2017: a very convivial Wine Tasting organized in partnership with Paris Terroirs.
On January 17th, the place to be was Paris Terroirs, 68 rue Jean Pierre Timbaud, to discover the subtlety of organic wines presented with passion and expertise by the founder of this cellar, Dominique Tissier.

Some 30 members of NetworkIrlande and the Franco-British Chamber of Commerce attended a breakfast meeting on Wednesday the 9th November to hear a presentation by Niamh Browne-Tixier, member of NetworkIrlande, and Laure Dykstra, member of the FBCC, co-authors of a book published by AFNOR, entitled "Communiquer, négocier et travailler efficacement avec des partenaires du Royaume-Uni et de l'Irlande".

Britain, Ireland, Australia and Canada – four nations famed for their penchant for sport and racing in particular ... so what better way to bring them all together than a day out at France Galop’s flagship racecourse, the Hippodrome d’Auteuil. This is exactly what the Franco-British Chamber, in association with NetworkIrlande, Australian Business in Europe, and the France-Canada Chamber of Commerce did on the 27th of June 2016 and, non-surprisingly, the event was a sell out with over 70 guests having reserved their places for this exclusive 'Luncheon at the Races'.

Members of NetworkIrlande and the FBCC braved the inclement weather early on Saturday 30th April and headed to Maisons-Lafitte, the "Cité du Cheval" for an exciting visit to the magnificent training facilities there. Trainer Pascal Adda, a member of NetworkIrlande and the FBCC, first took the group on a tour of the stables, introducing them to his horses and explaining the intricacies of preparing these top athletes for winning on the racecourse.
Members of NetworkIrlande gave a warm welcome to David Farrell, Professor of Politics, UCD School of Politics and International Relations, and Conall MacCoille, Chief Economist at DAVY on Thursday 14th April at the Embassy of Ireland in Paris. The theme of the evening’s talk, an analysis of the current political and economic situation in Ireland, was rendered all the more interesting in view of the continuing negotiations in Ireland to form a new government following the general election on February 26th.

The Irish Whiskey Tasting Reception, hosted by NetworkIrlande at the Centre Culturel Irlandais on Thursday October 1st, marking the 6th edition of the Anglo Apéro events, made for a very "pleasant interlude" and an ideal networking evening between the involved Chambers : the Irish, British, Canadian and Australian.
The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, was the guest of honour at a business lunch held in the Embassy of Ireland in Paris on September 3rd. The event was attended by a number of players in the Franco-Irish business community as well as some companies who seek to develop their activity in France.

On March 18th, in the beautiful surroundings of the Cercle de l'Union Interalliée, Minister Richard Bruton TD, responsible for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, spoke with verve and enthusiasm to the Pioneer and Corporate members of NetworkIrlande on the economic revival in Ireland.
