We were delighted bring together a group of NetworkIrlande members on Friday 13th of June to share with Declan O'Meara of Green Bridge some of the learnings over his 30 years of experience in project management across the world. Declan shared a few of the project management fundamentals to be applied in order to help common sense. He highlighted the importance of not racing out of the gate by investing the necessary effort upfront: a clear definition of quality, time, cost, safety and CSR project objectives and a soundly built project organisation.
Some very pertinent questions came through, notably on what role artificial intelligence could play in future project execution. These discussions continued à table over lunch. The message which may have stuck most strongly in last Friday’s heat was the importance of anticipation; what if? What if? What if?
Many thanks to the team at La Bombe restaurant for their welcome and service yet again, and to everyone who made the trip on such a hot and muggy day!
