The Irish Whiskey Tasting Reception, hosted by NetworkIrlande at the Centre Culturel Irlandais on Thursday October 1st, marking the 6th edition of the Anglo Apéro events, made for a very "pleasant interlude" and an ideal networking evening between the involved Chambers : the Irish, British, Canadian and Australian.
Honoured by the presence of the Ambassador of Ireland to France and Honorary President of NetworkIrlande, Ms. Geraldine Byrne Nason, and by presence of the Minister-Counsellor (Economic and Commercial Affairs) from the Canadian Embassy, Ms. Caroline Charette, the atmosphere was warm, convivial and very professional.
Adrian Keogh, Founder of SummerIsle Spirits, provided a very instructive introduction overviewing the ancestral history of this alcohol, highlighting among many interesting points, the French love of Whiskey.
The Jameson Ambassador Saoirse O'Driscoll, from Pernod Ricard, partner of event, had all guests captivated as she detailed the production of the worldly famous Jameson announcing the arrival to the French market of the new Caskmate blend in early 2016.
The next Anglo Apéro will be organised by ABIE: Australian Business in Europe in 2016.
