Some 40 members of the Irish, Australian, British and French business communities were welcomed by Richard Dujardin, President of NetworkIrlande, who warmly thanked Grant Thornton, the event sponsor, for providing the excellent meeting facilities.
The intense speed networking sessions then began with one-to-one appointments, booked in advance via a dedicated web platform, every 15-minutes. The participants, from a wide range of industries and business profiles, were able to discuss business opportunities and promote their activities during the meetings at individual tables set out in the spacious meeting room, looking onto Grant Thornton’s lovely gardens. Over 110 scheduled meetings took place between 8.30 and 11.00 along with many spontaneous ones held in the convivial break-out area over refreshments. The broad range of participants from a variety of sectors made for an interesting, stimulating and fruitful morning for everyone involved.
Monica MacLaverty, Head of Tourism Ireland, Southern Europe, and Networkirlande Board member commented:
“Thank you for organising such a professional event with great opportunities for me to expand my network and seek out potentially non-traditional opportunities for raising the profile of Ireland and Tourism Ireland in France. The quality of the organisation, the venue and the meetings was excellent and time very well spent”.
By all accounts #BoostYourNetwork2 was a great success and a third edition will be scheduled in 2019.
Networkirlande thanks its partners, the FBCC and ABIE, and the event sponsor, for their valued support.
